Hand Injury

As a dentist, the use of my hands is something that I depend on as much as my vision and hearing. I had a hand injury in 2002 that kept me from performing routine dentistry and nearly cost me my profession permanently, but I was able to recover after more than a year, and return to practice in 2004.
Earlier this month, while walking my dog, I seriously sprained my right wrist, and was concerned about the affect it would have on my practice. Having had many soft tissue injuries in my life, I decided to try a new course of treatment- I could not afford to splint the wrist and take the time off work. I consulted Dr. Robert Kimberlain on the day following the injury. With his treatment on 3 consecutive days the improvement was amazing, and I was able to continue working without rescheduling any patients. Now, three weeks later my wrist is totally asymptomatic. I know that with traditional treatment this would have taken fully 4-6 weeks, so I would not hesitate returning to him for any additional treatment.

Digestive Problems and Back Pain

Before receiving chiropractic care in June 2009, I always thought my back pain was “normal pain” and that my digestive issues just “ran in the family” or were “normal” for me. Just like my father and grandfather, my body digested food 7-10 days after I ate, often resulting in lower back pain and restless nights. To alleviate their symptoms, they both had invasive operations that I completely refused to go through. So I tried all the over-the-counter medicine used to relieve the pain and ease the process. They were all quick-fixes and I ended up on the same track a week later. I sought out Chiropractic care as a final resort because I knew there had to be something that would work for me that didn’t involve the word “operation”. After only a couple of weeks of chiropractic care, I started using the bathroom on a more regular basis and the back pain decreased! After a few months of care, my digestive tract is close to regular, my lower back pain is gone, and I can sleep through an entire night without the cramping!

Hip and Shoulder Pain
February 2010. After visits to my primary care MD, increases in NSAIDS, pushing through exercise in constant pain, and as a nurse trying to give my patients the care they deserved, I had had enough. I didn't know where to turn, until I remembered Dr. Kimberlain. He had been a speaker at one of my running group meetings. I looked up his number and called, he got me in that afternoon. The relief has been amazing. I am virtually pain free; I am standing straighter, and walking better. The man knows his business; he listens to my issues and works hard to fix them. I can now concentrate on my life and not my pain. I completed the Anthem 5K on 3/6/10 and felt great. I have recommended Dr. K and his staff to everyone I know, and even to people I don't know. The only thing I regret is not getting to him sooner.
